Lviv region is in the top three by the number of students

At the beginning of the 2019/20 academic year, 42 higher education institutions operated in the Lviv region. 115,7 thousand students study it in the region. This was reported by Gal-Info on November 17 in the press service of the SES of Lviv region.

According to this indicator, Lviv region ranks third among the regions of Ukraine. Thus, virtually every 20th resident of the region is a student.

Such data were published by the Main Department of Statistics in Lviv region for the International Student Day, which is celebrated today, November 17.

Out of 42 higher education institutions, 14 universities operate, 6 of which are national. These are Lviv National Agrarian University, National Forestry University of Ukraine, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, SZ Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. Gzhytsky, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Also, young people are educated in 4 institutes, 4 academies, of which two are national, 17 colleges, 2 schools and 1 technical school.

In the 2019/20 academic year, 23,8 thousand people entered higher education institutions. 78,4% of students study full-time, 21,6% - by correspondence or in evening classes. 3,9 thousand people receive the second higher education in Lviv region.

Among the students of higher education institutions are almost a thousand - people with disabilities, more than seven hundred - orphans and children deprived of parental care.

Along with Ukrainian students, almost 2 foreign students study. These are mostly young people from India - 22%, Egypt - 13%, Poland - 12%.

This year, 30,4 thousand people completed their studies and received diplomas. Of these, 40% became specialists and masters, 36% - bachelors, 24% - junior specialists. Among the graduates, most are graduates in Social Sciences, Business and Law and Engineering.

14,7 thousand teachers teach in higher educational institutions of the region. Of these, 10,7 thousand scientific and pedagogical workers, half a thousand - scientific and 3,5 thousand - pedagogical workers.

"Today, students of Lviv region show high results in All-Ukrainian and international competitions, which once again testifies to the good level of education of our educational institutions. The SES received another 23 rescue vehicles to eliminate the consequences of the accident

This was announced on November 17 in the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

"Today, as part of the State Traffic Safety Program until 2020, the SES received another 23 brand new light rescue vehicles created on the basis of the Ford Ranger. They have the latest equipment in accordance with all European standards. At the end of October, we have already handed over to the service 80 such cars, which immediately went on our roads and proved their effectiveness. There are 36 more similar cars in the pipeline by the end of the year, ”said Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy.

According to experts, due to the use of these modern rescue vehicles, the time of arrival of assistance at the scene of the accident will be reduced from 35 minutes to 12. The cars are designed for up to 5 rescuers and are designed to carry out emergency rescue work, eliminate the consequences of accidents, measures to search for victims and provide them with home care, communication and notification during emergencies.

Five more Ukrainian books have been published abroad

At the same time, the institution does not cover printing costs and other related costs (editing, proofreading, design, layout).

The total amount that can be reimbursed by the Book Institute is up to € 4 per edition.

Representatives of the Antonov State Enterprise and the SpetsTechnoExport State Enterprise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Peru took part in the video conference on behalf of the Ukrainian side.

The Peruvian customer was represented by the heads of the Office of Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Ministry of Interior of Peru, the National Police of Peru, the Office of Strategic Procurement of the Aviation Department of the National Police of Peru.

Acting Serhiy Bychkov, General Director of Antonov, informed about the degree of readiness of the aircraft and its units, conducted a detailed demonstration of the entire production process directly from the assembly plant, which builds the aircraft (serial number 006), intended for delivery to the Republic of Peru. He also stressed that the An-178 meets all modern requirements for aircraft of this class, combining high reliability with efficiency in operation.

“Two months ago, we completed the final assembly of the fuselage of this An-178 for the Peruvian National Police. After that, work was carried out on the final assembly of the glider. Units such as tail feathers, centerplane, cantilevered wing parts are manufactured and installed. The caisson of the wing has been tested for overall tightness. Installation of systems, including air conditioning and fire protection systems, has begun, ”he said.

Serhiy Bychkov added that pylons have already been made and almost all units are needed for engine mounting. Work is underway to install doors and hatches.

For their part, the Peruvian authorities assured that the contract for the supply of An-178 is valid and there is no reason to terminate it.

Environmental protection forces continue to restore the infrastructure of Donbass

In Lviv, after a road accident, a car burned down - the driver was drunk
