Mandatory preventive measures against infectious animal diseases continue in Prykarpattia.
Specialists of state veterinary institutions of Ivano-Frankivsk region in order to ensure the well-being of the region for infectious diseases of animals, their early diagnosis and prevention, as well as to create effective control over animal health, conduct a set of mandatory anti-epizootic measures.
In particular, the following is carried out:
- blood sampling for laboratory diagnosis of leukemia, brucellosis, leptospirosis, avian influenza,
- diagnosis of tuberculosis,
- prevention of anthrax, rabies, Newcastle disease, classical swine fever,
- identification of animals, including offspring, with mandatory attachment of tags of a single sample.
In addition, pet owners are provided with clarifications on the conditions of keeping and feeding animals, prevention of infectious diseases, such as African swine fever, rabies, avian influenza, Newcastle disease, contagious nodular dermatitis in cattle and others.
Experts call for the cooperation of heads of local governments to ensure the inspection of livestock in the implementation of laboratory-diagnostic and treatment-and-prophylactic measures in private farms, informs "Galka" with reference to the press service of the State Food and Consumer Service in Ivano-Frankivsk.
