The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi noted: “During this and next week, all first-line hospitals will be provided with protective equipment. First and second line hospitals will be provided, in particular, with a very important element - biosecurity suits (6-8 thousand suits), as we work with donors from the First Ukrainian International Bank. And next week, after completing the means of protection of medical institutions of the first and second line, we will take up the primary, which employs 1400 doctors. They must be provided with all means of protection, because they are also at the forefront. We will work on it. "

“Distribution of this cargo has started - to Kamyanka-Buzka, Sokalska, Stryjska district hospitals, the regional infectious diseases hospital and the Pulmonary Health Center. More than 20 ventilators will also be purchased for this center. Additionally, we expect the delivery of PCR tests, which will be delivered to Lviv region tomorrow. We have already started mass screening with rapid tests of the region's residents - mobile groups go to each district to test the share of the population that is now at risk, ”the head of the region added.

According to Lubomyr Rak, Director General of the Lviv Regional Phthisiopulmonology Clinical Medical and Diagnostic Center, as of today, the Center has 140 beds for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, all of which are equipped with oxygen points.

“In addition, we have expanded the intensive care unit to 20 beds, which also have access to oxygen. We have 8 ventilators. Of all the patients currently being treated by us, two are suspected of having coronavirus and have had the necessary tests. The hospital is fully equipped with respirators, protective equipment and disinfectants and others, "he said.

We will add that the medical cargo weighing 8 tons which will be distributed among 13 health care institutions contains oxygen masks, medical respirators, strengthened medical masks, medical suits of biosecurity, gloves, thermometers, IVL filters, boot covers, disposable caps.
