The government has changed the conditions for crossing the Ukrainian border for some categories of travelers: Ukrainians who now have a negative PCR test for coronavirus, performed no earlier than 72 hours (previously 48 hours), are exempt from mandatory self-isolation.
Such changes are discussed in resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of April 7, published on the government's website.
This was confirmed by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko in a comment Ukrainian truth:
“Today, the next changes made by the government to Resolution №1236, which regulates quarantine restrictions, in particular, concerning the state border of Ukraine, were published. These norms will soon be sent to the SBGS units for implementation. "
The main innovation is for Ukrainian citizens returning from abroad: previously they had to conduct PCR testing 48 hours before the trip, now (as well as foreigners) - 72 hours.
Also, foreigners and stateless persons who permanently reside on the territory of Ukraine, when crossing the state border of Ukraine must now go to self-isolation with the installation of the application "Home" (previously entered without conditions - ed.).
We will remind, on March 22 the Cabinet of Ministers introduced obligatory existence of the negative PCR test for a coronavirus made not earlier than in 72 hours, for foreigners at entrance to Ukraine.
It was also determined that Ukrainian citizens returning home from abroad should go for self-isolation for 14 days, regardless of the zone of the country from which they enter. Ukrainians who have a negative PCR test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 48 hours, were released from self-isolation.
